Possible Chambered Cairn in South Glamorgan

From Coflein:

"A group of four tabular limestone blocks, associated with a possible mound. Excavation, 1936 (Daniels 1937) suggested that the stones constituted a natural feature, although a handaxe was recovered."

Coed-Y-Cwm
Coed-Y-Cwm submitted by Mark_in_Wales : More lozenge marks on the capstone upper surface. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Coed-Y-Cwm
Coed-Y-Cwm submitted by Mark_in_Wales : Clear cup-mark on side of the capstone - second possible mark to the right - not really seen any other cup-marks in the Tinkinswood and St Lythans sites, so this is a first for me! (Vote or comment on this photo)

Coed-Y-Cwm
Coed-Y-Cwm submitted by Mark_in_Wales : Incised lozenge shapes on top of the capstone. These carvings are also seen at the Tinkinswood Burial Chamber 1.1km to the ESE and St Lythans Chamber 2.4km SE. Also reflected the shape of one of the possible uprights - carved into a lozenge shape. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Coed-Y-Cwm
Coed-Y-Cwm submitted by Mark_in_Wales : Most likely one of the supporting stones for this cromlech. Carefully shaped into a lozenge. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Coed-Y-Cwm
Coed-Y-Cwm submitted by Mark_in_Wales : Most likely the three stones that propped up the capstone of this cromlech. All less than about 1m high. The third stone is still under the capstone on the left.
