Long Mortuary Enclosure in Cheshire
This site, believed to be a long mortuary enclosure was revealed as a cropmark some years ago, 800m south-west of the village of Churton. Overlooking the flood plain of the Dee, it is composed of a rectangular ditched enclosure with bowed sides and rounded corners, aligned roughly north to south.
