Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Somerset.
The well is located near Babwell Farm in Babwell Lane and would be a couple of hundred yards from St Barbara’s Church in Cucklington.

The well structure is fairly modern with the wellhouse itself locked but a large bath into which the water flows gives plenty of opportunity to make use of it.

St Barbara's Well submitted by KiwiBetsy : On the sunny Sunday morning when we were photographing the well, an elderly cyclist stopped to tell us about it. He said that 3 ladies from Wincanton used to come on their bicycles and fill water jars 3 times a week and that his 80 year old wife remembered sitting in the water in the trough as a child. He also spoke of a man, who moved to the area a few years before and whose goldfish had double... (Vote or comment on this photo)
