This stone at 2.5m high with nearly another 1m below ground is the longest surviving menhir in Jersey. The stone is unworked except, perhaps, the smooth tip. Excavation showed that it was set in a 0.5m deep oval pit and supported by small stones ('trig' stones) wedging the menhir firmly upright.
