Ancient Village or Settlement in San Jaun County, New Mexico.
A Chaco Culture Great House built around 1090AD and occupied, probably by people from Chaco Canyon, untill 1125AD. From 1125 until the site was abandoned in 1280AD it was occupied, but by people from the San Jaun valley and possibly Mesa Verde.

Room blocks with up to 3 stories, an internal tower kiva, and a separately built Great Kiva in the Pueblo plaza. The site was excavated in the 1970s by Eastern New Mexico University, in partnership with the San Juan County Museum Association.
Owed and operated by San Jaun County government. Museum and research library. National Register of Historic Places.http://www.salmonruins.com/.

Salmon Ruins submitted by Flickr : Bone Awls, Needles, & Pins Awls are an important part to anyone who manufactures their own hides. Awls are especially good for poking holes into thick leathers that are to be made into either clothing or used for shelter. Needles and pins, are of course useful in the sewing process of these hides. Image copyright: Travis S. (Travis), hosted on Flickr and displayed under the terms of their API.
