Chetro Ketl is second only to Pueblo Bonito in size and scope. About 400 rooms have been identified or presumed based on the indication of multiple floors. There are ten small kivas, and two 'Great Kivas', one of which is one of the most finely preserved structures of its kind.
Tree ring data indicates building dates of 1000 through 1100.
