Misc. Earthwork in Hampshire

An Iron Age cattle enclosure or a small hillfort is located NW from centre of Southampton, near Chilworth Common. Area of the enclosure is covered by forest. The best preserved parts of earthworks are the NE and southern ones.

I agree that the site is more likely to be an Iron Age cattle enclosure then a hillfort - width of the embankment is limited, even considering that it is partly leveled, it rather was not big enough to be a fortification. Remains of the ditch are distinguishable in NE and southern part of the enclosure.
