Hillfort in Berkshire

From tatterdemalion: this is on private property, so there is no access. But it is possible in winter to catch a glimpse of the ditch and bank from the road.

From SolarMegalith: Bussock Camp is located on the ridge of a hill east from Winterbourne. This Iron Age hillfort is in good condition, with double line of ramparts (except the western side). The earthwork is particularly impressive and well-preserved in eastern, SE and southern part of the hillfort. Most of the site is covered with a forest. Bussock Camp is definitely one of the most impressive hillforts in Berkshire.

To reach Bussock Camp you need to follow B 4494 road from Newbury. The second turn left (driving from Newbury) into the Bussock Wood will lead you to the site (the road crosses the interior of the hillfort).
