Article from 2017: Mystery of Nottingham's Bronze Age canoes is solved

The canoes were among several items discovered in the 1930s around a Bronze Age “pile settlement” below Clifton Grove. It was one of several Trent Valley communities built on platforms supported by piles driven into the marshy riverside land.
