Standing Stone in Leicestershire and Rutland.
A mark stone just to the north-east of the churchyard. A local life-long resident remembers it as being previously itwice as high and nearer the main road but was moved and broken in the process.

However, the stone appears well rounded with no evidence of comparatively recent damage.

Unfortunately, the Wymeswold Stone is missing. No sign of it could be found during a thorough search in February 2021. It is thought it was removed or destroyed during building works to one of the properties on Church street some time prior to 2020.
There is, however, another large stone (of similar proportions) on Clay Street that has been in its current position for as long as anyone in the village can remember. It can be seen on Google Street View here:
