St Mary's Well (London) submitted by DavidCWoods : TQ214848 Note change to note on web site. The well is inside the church, apparently located in the boiler room ! The outlet is visible inside the church as in the picture, in the north west corner of the choir. (Vote or comment on this photo)

I've visited this church a couple of years ago. It has been visited on pilgrimage's for about a thousand years and is believed to be a pre-christian site as well. The spring comes to the church font which has a wooden cover. There is also a reconstructed black madonna with child. The original being destroyed in William the Conqueror's days. It was originally decorated with pearls and suchlike.
