Ebla.  Ancient Village or Settlement  Syria    Visited  31st Dec 1999  5  4  5  We were furnished with an excellent mechanic/driver at The Byron hotel in Aleppo for the trip to the see the site of the Ebla Archives. Spectacular location in the hills of Northern Syria.  3   
Chimiachas  Cave or Rock Shelter  Spain  Aragón  Visited  2nd Sep 2008  5  4  1  Difficult to find. Three hours on horseback from the village of Alquézar, Aragon, and then a half hour brisk walk. But well worth it on arrival at the end of the narrow canyon.   2   
Kivik  Passage Grave  Sweden  Skåne  Visited  5th Jul 2008  5  5  5  Beautifully restored/preserved circular cairn. A facinating burial monument, with to my eyes slabs clearly hinting at minoan conections with southern Sweden  1
