Standing Stone in Isle of Islay

Tayandock is a recumbent standing stone at the head of Loch Indaal on Islay.

Take the A847 from Bridgend towards Portnahaven. Take the first right after 1 mile for Stonefield B&B. The standing stone lies in the corner of a field on the left (south) 250 yards after passing the B&B. You need to jump the gate and look for the fallen stone amongst long grass.

Canmore ID 37752 measures the stone at 1.5 metres long.

This is a site you could easily drive by without knowing its history.
