Standing Stone (Menhir) in Gwynedd. Situated along the footpath that leads from Llan Ffestiniog to Rhaeadr Cynfal waterfall the stone stands at 1m within the corner of a field. Easily visible through the metal livestock fencing this semi quartz stone gleams in the sunlight. It's origins (date and reason it was established) are unknown but due to its position it may have been incorporated into an earlier wall boundary. There is a livestock barn 15m to the south west.

There is an interesting outcrop formation approximately 20m to the south west of the stone. Several massive stones have been fortified with the addition of a retaining wall of dry stones creating a raised platform. A very large oak tree adorns the structure.

This is a picturesque environment and well worth a visit.
