Dun Beag (Struan)
Dun Beag (Struan) submitted by funsize : This ruined fort has a magnificent position overlooking Loch Bracadale with views of far way Beinn na Boinneid and Beinn Bhac-ghlais. As this site is right next to the road, it is well visited. In spite of this, it has a remote and reflective atmosphere. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Dun Beag (Struan)
Dun Beag (Struan) submitted by jeffrep : Dun Beag is the best known, the best preserved, and the most accessible broch on the Isle of Skye. It is accessible from the main Dunvegan-Sligachan road, where there is a small car park, a signpost, and an information panel. From there, it is a short and easy walk up a slope to the remains of the broch.

when we went to this broch we saw the wall as we approched it in the car. in the car park there is space enough for a few cars. there is a wall in the shape of the broch in which you can stand and look at the signs about the broch. you then cross the road and go through a gate. after you have done this you climb a small hill. it does not provide disabled access. At the top of the hill the climb gets abit difficult. then you can go and read a sign about the broch. you can enter the broch by the door in front of the sign. once inside the broch look right and there is a tiny enterance to an open topped chamber. then to the left there is an open topped door way, a chamber with some of the roof still intact. To the right there is a stairway leading up to the highest part of the intact wall.
