soulsurfer visited on 15th Apr 2013 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 4 Access: 5 By the side of the road, in someone's garden but easy to access. Strangely atmospheric in a nice setting this circle around a cairn has some nice stones including one very impressive stone about 6 feet high on the SW side.

Found easily using Aubrey Burl's book - A Guide to the Stone Circles of Britain, Ireland and Brittany.
The site is next to a road in a front garden. But is nearly overgrown. One of the stones is missing (originaly there were 9). The stones are in good condition and the cairn's outer walls still exist.

We have just aquired the house site where the Culburnie Ring Cairn and Stone Circle are located and are in the process of getting the cottage renovated. Any one looking for info or pictures or who would like to visit, please contact me at alrothe@hotmail.com
Any advice or suggestions concerning the preservation of the site are also welcome.
