Description Both stones have a 'scooped out' depression in their tops. I am not sure why this should be, it seems deliberate. Maybe it was to catch rainwater for some reason, or maybe it was partly caused by rain over the years? Also, you can see the 'step'/'seat' effect at the base of the tallest stone. It was helpful to have that ledge to stand on to make a better inspection of the scooped out top. (Though I shouldn't encourage that, because the stone would soon wear out!)
