In my youth I was lead to believe that this is the remains of an ancient chapel, and hence probably the site of the well, but I am no longer so sure. |

(2012-11-06) | I have to say I am not 100% convinced, and just spending some time looking at detailed old maps, I am now less so. The position of the well is always given on the south side of the cove, yet this is centrally up the valley, to the west. |
