| Posted Comments: Thorgrim (2004-10-13) | Beautiful shot! Often think that autumn is the best time for megalithic photography - low sun and warm colours. Excellent | ernar (2004-10-13) | Thanks. I fully agree with you. In fact I tend to make my trips in late september/early october just for the feeling of the places under that particular conditions. | thecaptain (2004-10-14) | You wouldnt have though this if you were up on the moors with me at Shovel Down last Sunday. Very grey wet and windy, with most of the stones covered over by soaking wet grass and other growth. Still, I had the place to myself ! | ernar (2004-10-16) | Yep! I can understand that, England _has_ worse weather than the one we are used to in Spain, so it can get grim. Our visit to Scorhill Circle (two days before the above picture was taken) was something of a nightmare: so extremelly windy and rainy that we had to change footwear and _all_ clothes as soon as we hit our AWD. But, as you say, Ah! the wonders of being there alone..... |
