These round constructed piles of stones are cairn-like, but are definite structures. They give their name to the Talyotic culture in Menorca which covers from the 13th century B.C. through until the Roman conquest in 123B.C. Talyots are situated on high ground with views of the surrounding territory and may have been watchtowers. |
