Clearly the Dolerite has been mined back further than the rest of the rock around it and in this picture a lump remains stuck to the granite above the seam. The Dolorite runs down to the sea and this shows another example of Neolithic axe production in a most spectacular place. Photographed on an Archaeology Safari of Jersey 29th February 2004
