Description Me for scale. There are no chambers in this stony mound, and I half think it's set upon a natural rocky upwards spur, so it's not all cairn, if it's a cairn at all.

Maybe the cairn is a "Kenotaf", a burial mound or cairn which contains no burial chamber, they are theories they are buildt in memory of a person if the dead person is abscent.

I think they were trying to enhance it's already female qualities. A mother hill , literally.
