This just looked so much like a sea monster having a drink from the ocean that I wanted to post it for those who enjoy such oddities!

Great shot... :) Now what's the name of the Welsh Sea-god?? | pab (2012-09-27) | Thanks Angie - Llyr I thought, but when I went to check before sticking my neck out, Dylan came up as a possible contender - must check! | pab (2012-09-28) | On the Welsh Sea-God theme, came across this fascinating list and site Angie - thought you'd enjoy reading it if you hadn't already come across it yourself - http://www.joellessacredgrove.com/Celtic/deities.html
| AngieLake (2012-09-28) | Thanks pab. It was something beginning with 'M' that I was thinking of, and now found Manannan .. Llyr's son.. who's listed as an Irish sea god in my Celtic Mythology encyclopedia, and also his brother Manawydan who's apparently the Welsh equivalent. That one's most similar to the name that I'd heard some years ago while reading a old Welsh legend. | AngieLake (2012-09-28) | He was mentioned a few times in the Legend of Branwen (see here: http://www.eryri-npa.gov.uk/a-sense-of-place/myths-and-legends/legend-of-branwen ) which I'd read while researching info about Harlech castle. Great tales! |
