There was no clue as to what has made it now safe for the chamber to be without support. Perhaps it is related to changes in stock - Welsh Black cattle are referred to in some earlier postings, but now there are sheep.
Because of the look on the face of the brute looking round the stone on the right, I won't say 'only' sheep - perhaps he just ripped the support away himself.

I prefer the new laissez-faire look.
