Description This 'cross' inside the Hellstone is cut in. I met the perpetrator though A gentleman who gave his name as Mike Crowley. Said he had a web site but I've not been able to find it. Amiable but quite oblivious to what he was doing, also stated he buries crystals at many sites. Treats the swastikas as crosses though and said he places them sympathetically so as not to harm the stones. I also found coloured stones at Hellstone and Hampton circle. Has anyone else come across this person?

Let's not forget that the swastika started out as an innocent symbol

Yes - the swastika is a very ancient sun symbol used all over the world including Asia and the Americas. It is closely related to the equal armed cross and the Manx and Norse triskeles. However - whatever it was before the Nazis reversed it and turned it into a symbol of evil - we don't want people carving it (or anything else) on ancient monuments
