Maybe, but I believe that they are the results of natural weathering. The faces are in the eyes of the beholder. A little emphasis here and a little less there and Merlin emerges from one of the stones of Callanish. |

You make us sound like the wise ones of the tribe!) | spindrift (2005-04-18) | Excellent - never noticed the faces when I was there a couple of years ago!! | Monnet (2005-06-21) | The background lacks some details, and also a greater range of tone, and blending the contrasting areas of shade on the rock would improve it and develop shape. |
