|Description ||Kintra Standing Stone on the Isle of Islay
Grid Ref: NR328478
The photo was taken at dawn as the sun was rising over the Eastern Fells.
|That is a beauty! You do have a good eye and a feeling for light and atmosphere. I've noticed that most of your photos are taken around dawn or dusk and the golden hour of late afternoon. Charlie Waite, the best landscape photographer since Ansell Adams, reckons all cameras should be left in their bags from mid morning to mid afternoon. Certainly applies to stoney pics - overhead sun robs them of texture and substance and kills them stone dead (ouch)|
