Believed to date from around 500-700 B.C., red linear rock art depicts everyday activities, such as fertility rituals. (www.texasbeyondhistory.net/hueco/images/ras.html)
"The first and only Red Linear site known to Kirkland, Jackson, and Newcomb consists of two major panels. One shows what appears to be combat between two groups of warriors. The other, has a group of phallic males, brandishing sticks and crouching in front of a trio. The central figure in the trio seems to be giving birth, at least, she has assumed the same position used in other sites to illustrate parturition." (www.rockart.org/gallery/RL3.html)
