(2003-07-15) | I visited the Nine Ladies and this the Grey Ladies today 15th July 2003. I saw some cars parked up and asked two elderly gentlemen if they knew where the Grey Ladies were. One replied "Is that a stone circle? If so there's four stones in a field near Robin Hood's Stride." It's a lovely site. You have to climb over a few rickety gates to get to it but it's well worth it. I drove there through Alport which is north of here. If you do this the road from Alport is a small lane with 30 speed limit signs at it's entrance; it's very easy to miss. |
