No open gate now...when we visited in September 2011 there was a chain around the gates.
The only problem with such chains is that they really don't keep vandals out - especially if they are loose enough to allow fairly slim people to squeeze through anyway!
I don't know of any recent studies, but I suspect that most people engaged in vandalism requiring access to locked premises are generally lithe & fit? |
