All together, a very pleasant plateau.

You mention a "1m measure" but I don't see it in the picture. | Runemage (2012-03-12) | Hi golux, pab means that the stick is the 1m 'measure' :-) It's the English language that's misleading.
Quite often photographers don't take a measuring device with them, so they will improvise and use something or someone to give an idea of scale. We have pictures of stones with rucksacks, dogs and very often people to indicate the scale of a stone or site. Also, features on stones are often photographed with a coin or hand to show the scale. | pab (2012-03-12) | Thanks Rune - yes, I had set my walking pole to 1m in length to show scale. The other clue for comparative size might normally be the molehills to the right of the stone, but these ones were HUGE! | Runemage (2012-03-12) | Goodness me aren't they just! I was so busy looking at the stone and the cairn I didn't notice them until you said so :-) | AngieLake (2012-03-12) | Ahhh, but they're Welsh moles... ;-) | pab (2012-03-13) | You're right Angie - nothing 'minor' about these little diggers! And they do push up some fascinating bits of rock - several molehills had beautiful pieces of quartz just sparkling on top. | golux (2012-03-13) | Runemage and Pab
Ah now I see, the stick is 1m long so this stone is a little under 1m high - thank you for explaining. Myself, I use a stick with yellow tape round it at 1m and 1.5m so I was looking for some mark on the stick.
