| Posted Comments: TimPrevett (2004-08-18) | I reckon it's in the NE part of the Great Circle; I recall a whopping great horse chestnut near there. | thecaptain (2004-08-19) | I think these stones are a part of the avenue leading away from the northeast of the Great Circle, just to the south of the Northeast circle. View looking southwestish, with a couple of (flat) stones of the great circle seen seen beyond the stone on the right foreground. And unfortunately, that big tree has now fallen, and the smaller tree to the right is in a sorry state. | AngieLake (2004-08-19) | They are two of the stones of the avenue near the North East circle which leads directly into the Great Circle. (I dowsed the processional route in May '04, and, after much action inside the NE circle, it then exits at the SW arc of the NE circle, carries on SW for a few paces, then a similar distance SE, before turning into this Avenue and heading directly into, and across the Great Circle. Stopping to turn around once at the SW area of the Great Circle, it then exited to the SW.) I have written an article about it, which has been submitted to the magazine of the British Society of Dowsers. It was a VERY exciting moment for me, and seemed to answer a lot of questions about the layout! |
