Description The second St Genny's Well, found at the side of the church said to have been constructed by the local vicar to encourage more visitors to his church.
It is inscribed with the words 'THE HOLY WELL OF ST GENNY'S CIRCA 6th CENT RESTORED 1927', but this could possibly have been built on earlier foundations.

The dedication here is generally thought to be to St Genesius of Arles in France. He was a Roman martyr of the 3rd century AD. His cultus was probably brought to Cornwall after the 6th century, or more likely in the medieval period ie after the Norman conquest.
