Description As pointed out by Doug Pickford, the c3000BC Ramsor stone shows a remarkable similarity with this maze on a c200BC Greek coin. What's the connection? Were traders from the eastern Mediterranean interacting with the people living around the Irish Sea 5000yrs ago?

There's a big difference in the pattern, style, location and design of of cup and ring markings and labyrinths. Here's a similar design of Rock Art http://www.megalithic.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=a312&file=index&do=showpic&pid=82351 It's concentric circles with a cup, depression in the middle and sometimes a line or two leading from the cup to the edge of the circles. Whereas labyrinths conform to certain mostly standard patterns.
My personal opinion is that there was far more trade between the ancients than we recognise today, but the "remarkable similarity" just isn't there in these two designs, particularly with regard to location.
