Superb capture of the evening light - the photographers' "Golden Hour" But so much more than that- the dark foliage frame on the right - the light on the nearer stone- the farther stone set against the complimentary green of the tree - the two figures in the golden corn. Gotta be one of my all time favourites | DavidRaven

(2004-07-28) | Great photos Nicola! I was there (stayed at B&B in Dishforth) in May, and know how awkward it is to get a good pic. I didn't go into the field because of the crop growing there, but got the sun going down between the stones one evening. Trouble was, it was too far away! Went over the fence to get close-ups of top of tallest stone. (Pity that one is in shadow of trees a lot. Even one morning it was still too shaded!) | rldixon
