These are incredibly tall stones. I found myself wondering how deep into the the ground they go. This picture shows all three stone, but the third stone is hidden in the shadows of the trees in the distance.
Beautiful stones well worth the diversion off the A1. |

(2004-07-29) | I have pictures of my daughter at the foot of each stone, judging by her height I think the stone in the foreground is 12', the stone in the middle is 17.5' and the stone trapped in trees is 15'. Its a rough guess but it gives an idea. I will post a picture showing the detail in the trapped stone, so you can judge if it was dressed or natural. |
