Scapa Flow as seen from the Churchill Barrier no.4, an artifical causway linking the islands of South Ronaldsay and Burray. It was built during WW2 to prevent the penetration of German u-boats.

Did you use a polariser for the clear water? | swatson (2004-07-25) | Yes, whilst it's generally true that things look better in sunshine, this does not always apply. Especially when the 'bad' weather can be incorporated into the picture. This is perhaps as well, given the places I like to take pictures. I did use a polariser on this occasion. |
