With Further Harrop tumulus it flanks the present Macclesfield Road and Bakestonedale Road as they broach the summit of their rise from the Cheshire Plain before immediately descending to Kettleshulme and the valley of the River Goyt.
100m south of the tumulus, this 1m semi-sunken round boulder protrudes from an ancient hilltop. |
