It would be easy to look at its gnarled, pitted condition and think it arthritic and bent, but it isn't, it's glorious. I hope you will forgive my putting the following up here, but I wrote this at the site as I sat amongst the stones.
"What do I feel? What do I think? It is beautiful and peaceful here. I suppose all land has deep roots, but it helps to connect with it here. These stones are very ancient. Who brought them here, why? Were they looking to open their boxes? Were they looking for soul freedom as I am? Have people come here, like me today, with tears fresh inside, tears unshed, tears that remind them and me that I am human?" |
