Drive down D48, in direction of the sea, towards Tizzanofor 2 km; take a right along path unsuitable for motor vehicles. Walk for 2km to the alignments of Palaggiu.
An amazing site which contains several double rows of stones. Three of the stone bear carvings, each carrying weopons, showing that this is a late Neolithic site, created at a time when the Torreans, were inhabiting the island.
The stones are aligned in a North - South direction, with one row East - West. There are over 258 sculpted granite stones.
We were the only people there when we visited; we stayed until the sunset. The site evoked a feeling of melancholy, and the stone rows felt like grave markers, of the people who lost their land to the Torreans.
