| Posted Comments: Andy B (2004-07-02) | Hello, we have a listing for Burwain's Farm Stone Circle 1.5km NW, linked from the main Broadbank page, I'll see if Tom Bullock has found it as he's listed as the contributor. | (2005-06-06) | Burwains Camp is not the same site as Burwains Farm. The farm is a 17th century house which replaced an earlier timber structure. Burwains House was built by the Briercliffe (Britcliffe) family and was the first in the area, this was the time of the moorland improvements in Briercliffe. I am not aware of a stone circle on Burwains land, any details of this would be appreciated.
Broadbank is the name of the small settlement in the Thursden Valley directly below Burwains Camp. | John A Clayton (2005-06-06) | Sorry, forgot to put my name in the above reply! | dredlox76 (2008-06-18) | Hi i'm a new member who lives in colne quite near here and i'm trying to find sites of interest especially circles in the surrounding areas, if any1 knows of any please e-mail me.
