The size of the slabs used to create Dombate is phenomenal. The rear stone seen here is 4.7m high with some of the unexcavated mound material still in place. The lower part of the mound was covered with a layer of stones - the coraza. I'm not sure how often they will need to weed the site. There's a healthy variety of ferns and other vegetation growing on the site but it could easily get out of control. |
