Approx 6,500 years old Serpentine highly polished 'ritual' axe - no signs of hafting, use or wear. Almost certainly from Britain.
This polishing stone is surely for point butted 2 sided axes. Thin butted and thick butted axes just do not fit into the grooves (thoroughly tested). |
