It looks like a Marble-Maze, except the openings are more or less in the same pattern.
Things like this tell us that the beliefs, rites, and customs associated with these people had been around a long time before they'd codified their society enough to be able to 'afford' to build this stuff. (Time & manpower vs security & enough to eat)
