| Posted Comments: TheCaptain (2011-05-20) | The good old "Bodmin Triangle" stone in the foreground. Amazing how nearly all Bodmin Moor stone circles have an upward pointing deltoid stone like this, but I have not seen many others like this elsewhere. | mikeaitch (2011-05-20) | Yes quite the trade mark Martyn, have you heard any theories as to why? Lovely misty moorland photos Carol. | AngieLake (2011-05-20) | Do they always occur in the same arc of the circle? At Nine Stones, Belstone, I noticed an arched-shaped stone, which was repeated in the same arc in the cairn circle down in the valley. May have been a coincidence, but they did align SW towards the highest tors. | AngieLake (2011-05-20) | http://www.megalithic.co.uk/modules.php?op=modload&name=a312&file=index&do=showpic&pid=33518
This isn't a great photo, but shows the alignment. |
