| Posted Comments: Sunny100 (2011-05-01) | Interesting how the sheep almost mark out the sides of the barrow, like you say, a magnet. | Runemage (2011-05-01) | Love it! Several barrows near me were dug and not backfilled properly in Victorian times and have a hollow depression near the top. This is always the first place the lambs or calves choose to lie. | mikeaitch (2011-05-01) | Should be called a Baa-row :P | Runemage (2011-05-01) | ROFL!! Baaa-rilliant. Maybe they should be fitted with LED's so megaraks can find the baa-row at night ;-)

| mikeaitch (2011-05-01) | HaHa that's hilarious Rune :D By the way you were right about the sheep at Duloe, they were very curious about the Meg Hunter, sadly no cat to guide us round the stones :( but since I've now found out it's only 1/2 an hr away we'll visit again soon as it's a lovely site. | Runemage (2011-05-01) | Duloe is really special, isn't it, you're so lucky being so close. I'd never be off-site day and night if it was near me! I'm wondering if animals have a natural affinity for the ancient places. I've heard that the farmer at Duloe said his cows prefer to give birth within the circle but of course that's just hearsay. It would be interesting to ask any farmers who are guardians of ancient sites if their animals are drawn to them or have markedly different behaviour. | mikeaitch (2011-05-01) | Interesting Rune, I always notice the Meg'Hunters always very chilled when we visit ancient sites as if she can sense it's somewhere special. On the summer solstice at The Hurlers there's usually a few dogs and they're always very laid back and peaceful waiting for the sunrise (this could be through lack of sleep of course!). | Runemage (2011-05-01) | I'll pop it on the forum Mike, other folks may have some observations too.

Always useful to have something in print for anyone's who's a bit mutton-jeff. Mind you, be careful where you buy the lambinator, wouldn't like to see anyone get fleeced.
;-) | cerrig (2011-05-01) | Rune, I've been meaning to say something for a while, but you really need to get yourself a good spellchecker. | Runemage (2011-05-01) | I agree Cerrig, my spelling's really baaad lately. | TheCaptain (2011-05-02) | Time for the Chop on this thread, he says sheepishly. It was Mint, but now ex-Sauce-ted. Best get my Sheepskin coat and Leg it. Its Lamb-entable. | Sunny100 (2011-05-02) | Oh Captain that just takes the biscuit. I'm desperately trying to think of some more eweable stuff to put on the for-ram!! |
