As someone who lives on a boat, I was immediately struck by the way these stones followed the shape of an upside down boat - with a flat stone across the transom. The stones each side lean in as if they are the remains of a boat's ribs, and they outline the shape of a boat on the ground... I wondered if there was a link to the need people had of transporting the stones to stonehenge by boat.. as the stone circle/boat pointed towards the souce of these stones..
