The top map shows the stone positions according to the OS (2 black dots) and according to RCAHMS (2 yellow dots). These 4 locations seem to be inaccessible due to the impenetrable gorse bushes.
The lower map shows the stone photographed by cosmic and stugsie (Visible Stone) and the stone which I uncovered (Overgrown Stone).

| Posted Comments: golux (2011-12-29) | Following a visit today I can confirm that the SW stone is indeed at the location given by RCAHMS (NO 8760 8942). That location now having been proved correct, the RCAHMS location for the other is probably also correct. So it looks like the Overgrown Stone which I uncovered is as irrelevant as the Visible Stone! |
