Restored in 1909 these twin circles stand 15' apart on a line less than 2 degrees of a true north/south direction. Each circle has 30 stones and differ in diameter by only a little over 2'. It seems probable that they were originally truly identical and that the current "errors" as to size and position are easily accounted for in the restoration. |
