Turn off at the junction signposted 'Bogton 1 mile' and continue until, just after a sharp bent to the right, the gatehouse to Carnousie Estate/Castle appears. Go through this gateway and follow the eatate track for 0.4 mile then park on the verge opposite Carnousie Castle (which is on the right).
The best approach is to continue down the track for about a quarter of a mile until it turns sharply to the left. Around this bend is a gate, on the left, which leads to a forest track that follows the treeline east, then doubles back in a northerl direction. As the trees finally thin out, you will see the huge Carn Ennit boulder beyond the fence to your right. |
